Career Readiness Support is an extra level of support for students who might face barriers when it comes to finding future graduate-level employment. Students can engage with skills development opportunities, workshops, training, and work experience, as well as opportunities to meet individuals from a wide variety of businesses and organisations through Meet the Professional sessions.
Bangor University
Our Work Experience Support Team provides enhanced support to students who face barriers to accessing skills development opportunities. Advisers offer individual support to help students prepare for work and access opportunities tailored to their needs. These include coaching sessions, employer presentations, workshops, work experience, and any associated costs.
Cardiff University
Career Confident supports eligible students who may not feel confident about securing work experience or employment. The team will work with you one-to-one to understand your career aims, commitments, and availability to create a tailored development plan, consisting of employability support and bespoke work experience tailored to meet your needs.
Cardiff Metropolitan University
Our team of experienced Careers Coaches are committed to helping students enhance their employability skills so that they can compete for quality, sustainable jobs after graduation. Grŵp Llandrillo Menai (GLlM)
The GLlM Student Futures service supports our higher education students by providing additional opportunities to develop skills and confidence, directly impacting progression to graduate-level employment. Students can participate in group and individual activities such as workshops, mentoring, career planning, work experience, and enterprise activities. Our students can also meet various people from businesses through the ‘Meet the Professional’ sessions.

The Open University in Wales
Develop your confidence and improve your prospects with The Open University. The Go Wales programme is tailored to meet the individual needs of eligible students. You’ll get one-to-one coaching and mentoring support from an employability advisor who can help you with: career planning, preparing CVs that will get you noticed, meeting employers, finding working experience and accessing training and workshops.
Swansea University
We understand the current cost of living crisis is difficult for many Swansea students. We created a new and exciting project called Career Boost to provide students facing additional barriers to work experience and opportunities with tailored careers support. We’re here to help you take control of your future and access work experience, events and other opportunities that you may not feel able to engage with currently.
University of South Wales
USW Careers can support you to develop your career confidence and to identify and demonstrate your strengths to employers. This includes helping you to access jobs and work experience opportunities e.g. travel costs, help with reasonable adjustments or finding flexible options. You also have access to a wide range of careers support including accessing events, training or one to one guidance for any individual help you may need. Wrexham University
Using a person-centred approach, Employability Navigators support students to access relevant interventions that aim to improve their careers planning and employability skills. This includes career planning, goal setting, volunteering advice, removing barriers to employment, pathways to online careers education courses and resources, signposting to additional services within the university and the possibility of awarding a Bursary to support and enhance their individual employment opportunities.
